Wrhb & minihum, what pots?

Painting? Routing? Set-up tips? Or just straight-up making a guitar from scratch? Post here, and post pics!

Wrhb & minihum, what pots?

Post by finboy »

I am trying to figure out the best pots to run for a project that has a wrhb (creamery, so actual magnet pole pieces) in the bridge, and a silvertone split pole mini hum (off a Chris isaak model, gibson made so likely bar magnet) in the neck.

1meg? 500? 250?

Guitar in question

I've had luck with 1 meg and wrhb's in the past, my concern is how a bar magnet wrhb would react though, ice pick to the max?

Edit: it blows my mind how much pat reminds me of my friend juan

Original WRHB used 1M, but you probably want at least 500k. 500k is standard for minis. 250k per coil maybe?
