I think $650.00 was the most I ever spent. Not counting building. I have done way over that little by little but I wouldn't say that counts.

£750 for an Epiphone Elitist Dot, in 2003.

I instantly regretted it, and then about a week later, Coda started blowing them out (and the even nicer Elitist Casinos which are rare as hen's teeth now) for £350.

It was about the biggest n00b move I've ever made.

£650-ish for a Gibson SG Special. It sounded nice but had that clubby neck and top-heaviness that SGs are plagued with. The finish/build quality was so-so and it put me off Gibsons altogether.

I've probably spent a bit more on my second-hand CIJ Jazzmaster if you include the replacement trem and pickups. Unlike the SG, that's a keeper though.

£300 for the Batwing was the most until this year; £350 for my Epiphone Riviera. Kind of odd now I think about it. Even my Japanese Jaguar only cost me £200.

$1,000 for my Ric 330 when they had a secret sale at musicians friend. I kind of regret not spending the extra $300 to get the 360; both guitars were on sale at dealer cost.

Before that it was my Gibson LP Studio, which was $850 with my employee discount at guitar center. I traded it for a vox tempest xii a few years ago. Miss that one kind of, I intend to make room for a nicer lp in my future though.

Me too :(

Either the $1850 for my les paul standard in bahama blue, or the $1100 + sg classic traded for my 72 les paul gold top. By internet standards I overpaid for both, but by calgary standards (where GOOD gear is rare), I did quite well, and if I had to, both would be an EASY sale.
