Programmable Reverb Pedals

Post by Gabriel »

I'm looking for a reverb channel that has 2 presets for a meat and potato hall reverb sound as well as more ambient reverbs.

Ideally I'd like the Strymon bluSky but I'm not sure I could afford it. I've also seen the Source Audio Dimension 2 reverb but I've heard mixed things about that.

I'm looking for a reverb pedal with a smaller size.

Any other suggestions?

the electro harmonix cathedral, is the best reverb i've tried. You can always get a line 6 m5 and just use it for the reverbs and have like 100 presets, they were selling them for 100 euros or something like that

The EHX Cathedral is awesome. There are pedals that do more and probably sound better (e.g. the Strymon, an Eventide Space), but not at the same price point. You can load presets and it takes up a bit less 'board space than two Boss compacts side-by-side.

The cathedral is the man...if you want to spend more money..(i'm sure you don't) then get the ehx epitome. It's 3 ehx pedals in one enclosure..the little pog and the catherdral and ...fuck..another one..can't remember the other one though

Why everyone doesn't own an M5 is completely beyond me.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Source audio reverb? The demos of it sound ace - but I do need to check out the cathedral. I am tempted to just save up a bit though and get the strymon as I think I may just be trying to emulate what I really want with a cheaper pedal.

I have it (the Dimension Reverb). It sounds really nice--basically like rack reverbs in a pedal. You can get deep into programming reverbs, too. I only wish it had more than 2 memory slots for reverbs since you can get such a big range in reverb types.

Another pedal to consider is the Zoom MS-CDR70. It has a lot of reverb models, including the particle verb from Line 6. Very tweakable and easy to work with. It's the size of a Boss compact. I use it for reverb, along with lots of different modulations and delays and you can get up to 6 effects at once.

There's a dimension reverb up for sale on harmony central for a good price.

After watching this demo I think I need it.

edit: It's been sold, guess it's back to browsing ebay

I use a tc electronics m-40 plug in for most of my reverb on records but Mesa just made a small recto-verb 25 and i need one..It's what i always thought the dual rectifiers were missing.
