This makes me wonder if Fender Japan fit different JM pickups these days. Mine had the ones that were built around a JM bobbin and Strat magnets, but the guitar in this vid doesn't sound as shrill/wimpy as mine used to. Maybe they're closer in spec to the US or MIM pickups now?HNB wrote:I love my Jazzys. Even if I can't play that well, I can still appreciate what they are capable of.

but its a $300 squier with blocks and bindingrobroe wrote:the back of that guitar looks like ASSPISS.
its half gentle grain in V shapes then they fucking glued this other chunk of wood to it with fucking straight lines.
that guitar is going to run ya 800-1000 bucks and look like a fucking 300 squier.
Luckily you can get the same guitar in white with a matching headstock
If you think Andy's good, try going to a Guitar Center.
I straight up heard a guy two-handed tapping on an EVH sig through a 5150 amp the other day... then later he had a Les Paul going into a Marshall and he LITERALLY started playing Black Dog. I'm not even making this shit up, that's the freaky thing.
I had to run out of the shop so I wouldn't try sucking his dick or something. Later I contemplated turning to hard drugs so I could get that same feeling back on a more regular basis.

I like some tap over chord progressions when done in a jazz style but generally tapping leaves me cold. When I was at uni I got into the whole sweep and tap thing, but I never really liked the music. With a little practice you can pick it up quite quick. Just star slowly. There is loads of stuff online lesson wise.paul_ wrote:If you think Andy's good, try going to a Guitar Center.

Black dog is easier to play than you think, have a go!
