Squier VM Mustang or Fender Modern Player Mustang

Post by Mooseboy »

I'm guessing that has probably been asked a lot but is there much difference between them apart from the pickups?
Possibly considering getting one but unsure which one.

Squier VM is basswood and has traditional Mustang pickups; Fender MP is pine and has P90s.
