Thanks guys! I'm really pleased with the new addition. (That's the 1972 YGA-3A Mark III, atop the bottom 2x12 cab, for those unfamiliar with my setup.)
It's basically a Twin running a quartet of 6CA7 tubes so hot that it has a fan factory installed behind them to cool them down. It uses a EL84 to drive the tremolo, which I thought is a bit unusual. Overall, it's a bright, clean machine that comes out sounding a good deal more compressed and bass heavy than a regular Twin. So far, I'm liking it a lot. Takes pedals exceptionally well, as you would imagine.
James, you can always crash a brother's couch but I warn you to bring some mittens because winter just got VERY real here, these last few days.

Traditional Norwegian Pedal Bord….yes a dead deer. The wife of my boss was making him throw out this pelt form a past hunt, but I new the perfect use for it!
I redid my board. This is pretty filter-heavy, with the Snow White clone and Q-Tron. The compressor is a modified Orange Squeezer that goes extra squishy. I'm not too big a fan of compressors you can't tell are on.
Tim how does the snow white differ from the Qtron? I have the mini qtron (still a massive enclosure) so what are the differences between that and the one you have?

Neat little collection of pedals that there! How's that Space Station?

Hey Chris. I'm not sure how different the various Qtrons are because I've not tried the small one. I got this for £40 knocked down from £50 at a hifi shop, so figured it was worth a go. It's quite a blunt instrument, as filters go, and it seems to boost and distort almost randomly. The hi-pass filter is super hissy. The snow white, on the other hand, is a really nice sounding autowah with a few useable settings and controls that make sense.
The Qtron may well be replaced on my board by this thing... if I can ever figure out how it works! The presets seem to do something different each time I select them.
thanks Tim, I find mine has similar nuances like those you describe. I like some of them but like you said its a bit of a blunt instrument. I might try a few alternatives out though. Isn't the QTron based on the mutron?
