Yeah, but will it be considered if I tell you that I like your guitar but hate you personally? Is thread still alive?dezb1 wrote:sunshiner wrote:love it► Show Spoiler

Thank you... I thought my thread was inextricably fucked but your hate has saved it... once again hate saves the day.sunshiner wrote:Yeah, but will it be considered if I tell you that I like your guitar but hate you personally? Is thread still alive?dezb1 wrote:sunshiner wrote:love it► Show Spoiler

Remember him playing shine on you crazy diamond when I was aobut 13 or so. Wonder if he's still kicking about?dezb1 wrote:I've said this before years ago there was a guy in Glasgow st enoch square used to busk Pink Floyd covers with a fucked Sonex the guy was excellent and the sound he got out of that thing... Dave would have approved.
Are you originally from Glasgow? He was a sound bloke we'd just started playing and he used to talk guitar pish with us on his breaks... can't for the life of me remember his name...gusman2x wrote:Remember him playing shine on you crazy diamond when I was aobut 13 or so. I'm from Fort William, but my mum and dad are from Glasgow (Partick and Mount Florida respectively), so I spent loads of time there as a kid. Went to Strathclyde as well from 1998 to 2002.dezb1 wrote:Are you originally from Glasgow? Not necessarily true, they're properly typecast. It wouldn't get much hate on a Les Paul forum, I'll give you that.dezb1 wrote:Only on SS, anywhere else you couldn't put that in a hate thread...

I dunno if my JM qualifies. Sunburst is boring, CIJ is inferior to USA or MIM, and JMs in general aren't as 'cool' as Jags. Even so, if my flat was burning down my JM is the thing I'd grab as I run to the door.
The pickup upgrade helps, but despite all the (perfectly valid) reasons why jazzies are unpopular, even among Fender offsets, it's still my favourite.
