I need to learn how to walk away. I found another good deal. This time it's a 63-64 Hofner 175. Apparently they were only made for 18 months before being replaced by the 176, which had updated electronics. Most were wrapped in textured vinyl, but some were available in red or white lacquer. This is the latter, obviously. All original, a little beat. Really nice chunky "C" shape neck. Plays nicely as-is, but with a little setup it's going to be awesome. Great sonds from this shit too. I've always heard good things about these pickups, but this is my first personal experience with them.
Thanks everyone. There's an issue with the wiring I need to figure out(middle pickup is about half the output of the neck and the bridge is about half that). That said, it does sound really good. The mute is in an awful position where your hand can flip it when palm-muting, but I shimmed the neck and raised the bridge a little so it's no longer an issue. I absolutely adore the neck on this guitar.
