Yeah, I've got their DVD that they released over here, "Bullet in a Bible" where it's basically a couple interviews with them thrown in with footage of their amazing three day gig in the Milton Keynes bowl arena. I turned down going to see that, I was pretty gutted when I saw the DVD because it looks like one helluva show they had all weekend.

and i own two copies of that DVD actually...one is sealed though, so it may end up getting sent to teh bay or re-gifted or summit.
I understand why they play more songs of of AI. I'm just saying that I don't like that album so I would be disappointed in seeing them now I think. I would want to see more off of Dookie than just Basket case, she and longview. When they payed King for a day at the show I was at, it was really good too. They really do put on a great show.
My brother went to the last show that they played in Raleigh after AI, and he said he was disappointed with them because they didn't play enough older stuff. I would have been way more interested in seeing Jimmy Eat World open for them. Jimmy Eat World needs to stop touring with bigger bands and just play smaller venues so that they can do a headlining tour. They were actually at the Blink/Green Day show too, and I was one of the maybe 20 people that were actually watching them. They're a great, overlooked band. It's too bad that the only song most people know from them is "the middle". Clarity is an amazing album.

i saw jew at edgefest here in buffalo a couple years ago right after bleed american came out.
there were back up vocals and no one was singing but the singer. there were other guitar parts going on with no one on stage playing them.
it was so gay i have sworn off anything they have put out since and will never go see them again.
it was pretty much like when i play mp3's out of my PA here in my room and play guitar along to it coming out of the PA at the same time. which is fine if you are just gaying off rocking out in your room. but when you take that act on the road and make people pay for it....its total ashley simpson type stuff

That sucks. I didn't notice anything like that at the Blink/Green day show. I thought they did pretty good. I really liked Futures, I really like all their albums actually, but Clarity and Static Prevails are my favorites.robroe wrote:i saw jew at edgefest here in buffalo a couple years ago right after bleed american came out.

i played the shit out of clarity too.
it sucked because before that show i really liked them too. I got right down up front for the show.
im sure someone in the middle or back of the croud that didn't know how playing in a band would even understand what was happening or going on. they were selling thier stage perf pretty good.
but you know all harmony parts on the records like all the woooahhs and stuff, that would be one thing if he used a peddal to double his voice or something for oooohs n' ahhhhs but this was like whole vocal track back up. he would pull away from the mike and finish singing a word and he would still be finishing lyrics thru the monitors....it was wack
