A hair muddy, and lacking definition. Good for 70's rock tones.

So it does. IRLOL caused my wife to check what I was wasting my time on.

One of my coworkers just offered to buy mine. I lent it to him for the week to decide.

I did actually. It just took so long to arrive that I lost interest in it and bought other gear.

It looks like these are no longer on Thomann's webpage.

My friend from Minneapolis's modified Harley Benton TE-80. His mom went to High School with Prince and last month he got invited to slumber party at Paisley Park.

I saw a guy playing a SHINE branded tele the other night and it reminded me of these, although his was marginally less hideous. Looked like a fairly well put together guitar.

No and Thomann has been less than helpful. I ordered my guitar on October 14. I told them that I had not received it on on November 04. The last tracking entry places it in Frankfort on Oct 15.Thomann insists that it was put on a plane to the USA and said it was the USPS fault for not checking it through Customs. Then they said maybe US Customs is holding it up. Finally they acknowledged there was a problem and on November 11 they told me that together with DHL they had opened an investigation

I wrote to them again on Dec 15 to ask what's up? It had now been 2 months since the guitar was "shipped". The wrote back that DHL had started an investigation on November 25 and I would have to wait 4-8 weeks until was resolved. WHAT??? I forwarded them the email in which they said DHL had opened and investigation on Nov 11. They wrote back and apologized for the confusion saying DHL had actually opened the investigation on Nov 26. WTF! These lying liars just keep kicking this further and further down the road.

Maybe it is time I call my Senator. I met his mom once...maybe I should call her instead.

That sucks. My Wilshire had been coming from Germany to me for two months - I ordered it in last days of October and it came exactly before the New Year. However we have always got our post stuck with parcels from Germany closer to Christmass, there are a lot of people who moved to Germany last two decades and they send presents to their relatives and friends from the end of October till the end of January.

Here is my friend Frederik's Harley Benton HB-80 with the new "Yellow Tiger" pickguard he made.

Compare it to the original Madcats at the bottom.

DHL finally confirmed that my guitar is lost so Thomann gave me a refund.

Too bad,I just found a site that sells real celluloid pick-guard material (link)
