I have one of the Telecoustics..... and rather enjoy it very much. You can get some great sounds out of them plugged in, but unplugged is is basicaly practice mode. I have never had mine set up, so when I do play it......... it makes a well set up Strat or Tele awfully easy to play afterwords.

I have an older version that's shaped like a Jazzmaster and it's quite nice in some applications, but I enjoy it most because I can wander through the house noodling around without pissing everyone else off. Gives you that extra little bit of volume that you can't get out of an unplugged solid body electric.

But no I don't really mind these things....I have a danelectro convertible which is very similar in unplugged sound, and I enjoy having it around for the same reason.
