Makes no sense when they already have the Mustang and Duo Sonic. The Musiclander would be a better idea.

I AM PRO CYCLONE. Gibson scale is rad, bridge humbuckers are the ish (see my other thread), and strat trems are NOT BAD even though I prefer a hardtail.

Throw 5 springs on the strat trem and it ain't even a thang.

The Cyclone is a first rate guitar: it has no floating vibrato bridge (that several people have difficulty to set) but a strat vibrato bridge, more an humbucker in the bridge position (a configuration like as the Cobain-stang); however I don't understand why they discontinued the Classic Vibe '50 Duo Sonic, it was an affordable and good guitar: they could hold it together with the Vintage Modified Mustang...

i love the simplicity of the musicmaster but i think modern players want more tonal options.

Not here.

I like all the guitars mentioned (Cyclone, MM, Swinger) and you cant buy one of them in the UK.

Agree.
The Squier Cyclone is unlikely available only for some American states, Canada and Japan.
Who lives in Europe can't buy it because of the tremendous shipping costs from those places and some problems that can happen at the customs house.

On the other hand it might be cool if they reissue the Chinese Squier Musicmaster.

MM/Cyclone/Bronco reissues would be redundant. It may happen but I hardly see the point right now... they'd all be $350-$950 no matter what parts they have and there's nothing you can do on those models you can't do on a Duo, Jagmaster or some kind of Stang. You can buy used Cyclones for peanuts.

Personally I find those guitars cool because they AREN'T common. The Mustang and Jaguar have lost all the mystique I saw in them back in '97 or so, because you can get them with buckers and TOMs and a Fender product description that mentions teh Kurdtz and Mascisesizes, and the various ranges place them alongside any given price point of Strat/Tele.

They've turned into SGs.
