Pawn Shop Mustang Special clearance

Post by StevePirates »

Was at my local Guitar Center, and they had a PS Mustang Special for $529. Looks like they're going for $599 on MF. Just in case anyone was interested in them.

They were the STOOPID DEAL a couple days ago for like $499 or $399 or something.

No price makes up for that awful body shape.

I like them, but not so much the colour choices.

If they had made it with a 22" neck, I'd get one.

I adored the one I tested in LPB... thought it was beautiful, and it played & sounded awesome.

I had one. It was awesome! Its the guitar that I most regret trading away.

if they had just called them a duo sonic II and used a tornado bridge instead of the lame hardtail strat bridge, I would probably dig them.

Love mine but, yeah, not calling it a Mustang would have deflected a lot of the hate I'm sure.

Fender service notes show it being called the "Fastback". Must have changed it to Mustang fairly late in the day.

Whatever it's called, it's a really nice guitar. Picked mine up for a pretty good price(well, as far as the UK goes) when they were clearing out the MIJ ones.

If they used a tornado or vista musicmaster bridge on the thing it'd be titz.

Would look prettier. Stock bridge works fine though.

I remember trying one of those in a shop. It was like it was made of Vaseline, it kept trying to leap out of my lap.

I wasn't too impressed. Then again I don't really like mustangs.

I like that a Toro bridge could slip right on . Feels nicer than a strat bridge . It would be the first mod I'd prolly do..
