but the Pawn Shop mustang doesn't have a trem unit, its just a smaller body, for some stupid reason..Fran wrote:I like it. Looks less squeezed together than those Pawnshop Mustangs, maybe due to the lack of tremolo unit.
it should be called a pawn shop Duo Sonic II ... what with the lack of trem, and the switches..
but anyways..
Love the mod to the Duo Sonic, even dig the pearl on gold.. and that is A LOT of pearl.

It does. And I love mine; it's a really nice guitar.Fran wrote:Good point, it has a Strat hardtail doesn't it?Jim_Nowhere wrote:but the Pawn Shop mustang doesn't have a trem unit, its just a smaller body, for some stupid reason..Fran wrote:I like it. *Flounces off to post in the "guitars you own and love, but everyone else hates..." thread*
You're right though, they shouldn't have called it a Mustang. In the service notes it's called the Fender Fastback. Must have changed it to a Mustang as it is a well known name.

Re: More work.
Time to do more work on my Duo-Sonic.
1.) Radius will be changed to a much flatter 16 inch.
2.) Frets will be replaced with real Jumbos 110 width by 57 height.
3.) I will remove the polyurethane from neck and give it a hand rubbed oil finish.
