i think that factors in shipping, VAT and the fact it's a captive market for the odd guitar

most general release mij's like the classic series range will be brought into the country at cost price on a very large scale through a big distributor

Fender Japan stuff is cheap, the guitaremporium is a questionable service.
He basically charges you a premium for ordering stuff from ishibashi you could get yourself.
He has nothing in stock either, which is just crap
