New acoustic day

Post by finboy »

I thinned the herd out, sold a les paul and jazzmaster, and bought a nice acoustic...

1994 j100xtra, mahogany back and sides, spruce top, same dimensions as a j200. It's in the mail now, so I will get more pics when it arrives. I've been hunting for a good acoustic for a while, I liked gibsons but finding a good used one locally is a pain, for the same price as a heavily used j45 from the local shop, I got this, looking forward to it!

Only planned mod is white button tuners, trying to find a part number now, but I think these will work...

Beautiful.

Not super into the bridge style, but that is cosmetic. The tone on that baby will be booming creamy.

I waited around all day for ups yesterday, then I head out for dinner and see the ups truck up the block. I ran over and got there just in time to snag a big guitar shaped box.

It sounds great, setup is good, and it is a surprisingly flexible instrument.
