My bandmate has one. I could test it and i think it really sounds cool. It's a very neutral boost that let your amp sound as it sounds. Adds some mids to bring you through your bandsound. Really need one to turn on my tubes.

Neutral or transparent boost is a good description.

Every time that I am playing my Jazzy and click on this pedal, I sound like Nels Cline.
Every time that I am playing my Strat and click on this pedal, I sound like John Mayer.
I hate this pedal. Does that help soil its reputation any?

haha not quite that impressionable thankfully.

I just mean from everything i've heard, EHX did a really great job with this one. There are so many klones out there, and also so many horrible EHX pedals (IMO) that it could have totally gone either way. Just happy to hear that apparently they nailed it in a $63 or so box.
