I'm not sure yet. I think it's a small block. It's what holds the strings. It's definitely thicker than a regular control plate.
By the way. It's weird playing a 12 string. It's like having another guitar player and a synth player.

Nah. I'm not gonna "butcher" it per say. I am going to get a 12 string gotoh bridge and one of the Rhoney bridge surrounds for it. (The holes match the xii mounting holes perfectly) so it will be a drop in replacement. Meaning the venus will still be a 12 string and look quite the same. And I'll either take the pickups and get a new guard made like the 6 string guard (with a humbucker and single coil) or I'll keep the pickups in it and get Novak pickups for the xii partscaster. It won't be a while until I start the project so I have some time if they decide to reissue the xii. And my starcaster came out way better than the reissue in my opinion.
