"Electronic Projects for Musicians" sounds exactly what i'm looking for. i've been reading a bit on my sisters old science book but it's not great help. important read but not great help
it's like 22 dollars on amazon awesome 8)

That's the book, I just couldn't recall the title. Get it, its a great starting point and has plenty of easy projects.
