Fender Blacktop Jaguar HH (Every part from Ebay)

Post by ToneZappa »

Fender Blacktop Jaguar HH All the parts are from ebay. The neck I took a lot of wood off, it has total playable access and the profile is almost the same as one of my Maton Guitars (another short scale guitar). I put CTS 500K pots in with Orange Drop caps .022, a triple shot switching system for both pups, Seymour Duncan pups in the bridge (SH-4 JB) and neck (SH-2 jazz model) they are both humbuckers and with the triple shot I have series or parallel and single coil on any coil and a standard 3 way selector. Its very cool and easy to use.

Here is a clean sound from the neck pickup SoundCloud

I love the look of cream humbucker surrounds with black pickups. Hot. Give it a jag trem now. A jaguar like that but a full Pickguard and a trem is on my build list. Simple and straight forward.
Congratulations! Your Punkacc9 evolved into Awstin.

I like the cream humbuker surrounds as well but it was also a practical choice as well because of the triple shot switching system. The switches are black and very small and I wanted to visually be able to check the pickup settings. I was concerned about how easy it would be to adjust settings whilst playing, but all I can say is its really, really easy. They are great.

As for giving it a trem..... its actually the only guitar I have without a trem and I,m really enjoying that. It has nothing to do with a Jag apart from the body shape and scale. Its worked out as a real pro guitar for very little money.
