Light rail coyote and hurb do a deal 3 years later it happen
Jazzmaster loev!
So yeah I think this deal was struck 3 years ago...maybe not quite? But after paying back little by little the guitar has been round the world waiting to get here. I dunno what to say really it is so beautiful and sounds gorgeous (dunno what the fuck is going on but my other guitars sound dull as fuck in comparison!)
I would love to take some better pictures but I has no decent none film cameras around at the moment, so it may have to wait. Tom has been a stand up prince throughout the paying off process. classy classy class act.
Thanks you Tom I love it!!!! Lady hurb says thanks for the chocolate (she somehow claimed it all!)
I can't even remember much about the guitar...it's a 60's one haha
Nice wan. That's awesome
I remembered the original thread, so went looking for it and here it is:

it is a freaking relief that it is in your hands!! Yeah man, that light body and those pickups……really are something amazing! so its a 66 jazzmaster, original case. Bought off ebay from a guy who inherited it from his grandfather, who was the original owner. Played cajun music in Luisiana for decades. He did the cigarette burn on the headstock, and a lot of the wear…I did a lot too, haha. Oh that thing has a hell of a lot of soul for dank smoky cajun bars in louisiana, to fuzzed to hell alternative rock bands in Portland Oregon, to a bad ass bloke in England!

You really did add some wear Tom! Thanks for the original thread I only searched for the classified ad but couldn't find it.
I am looking at it now thinking how lovely it looks. It is super super light and the neck is really lovely to play. You have it set up different to how I would set mine up but I dare not touch it in case I bork the sound from the pickups...it also rings out with more sustain than I am used to.
bloody fantastic guitar!

I noticed this when I owned a Jaguar and Jazzmaster at the same time. It bothered the shit outta me. Much preferred the heaviness of the Jaguar.Hurb wrote:the weight between the jag and jazzy is crackers...the jag feels like it is made out of cement and jazzy is made out of Aero chocolate bars.

Well just set up how you want, I had a mastery bridge on it before, so its not really set up, also had some plane flights and crazy temp changes in Norway. I know it was fretting out when I sent it on the high frets, but had no tools here for setting up guitars.

I'm pretty sure I accidental dropped myself out of that SUV at an ALBQ.ultratwin wrote:Sure is one of those iconic ss.org pieces, may it serve you well.
I never had the pleasure of playing it, but 3 years ago at the AlBQ I do remember accidental dropping it out of the back of Mama Fredo's SUV -_-;
