I was digging the red tort, or maybe mint. That last guard is pretty wild looking. Definitely unique. Either way, nice score on a sexy Jag.

Interesting solar flare guard, and additional thoughts coming to mind revisiting the thread...

I for one find Fiesta Red to be such an enigma of a finish, depending on source of light and what a different color pickguard does to one's eyes, and even more so now that I see Mr.Park's work on Fiesta Red P-Classics, being one of the more popular finish/model combos in the Moollon shop. Invariably, the shade always seems to run from red-hot-orange to Campbell's Tomato Soup, and everything in between.

I think I've said it before, but Sean Lennon's even reminds me of freshly caught salmon flesh.

It looks pretty much like the color I was going for. If you use google images and search Fiesta Red Fender Jaguar, you should see the old one with the faded tort that inspired me. :)

This I assume? I don't know that looks like car faded. That's the closest looking one I've found to this guard. If it's not the right one. Link me.

You mean like the finish looks nice and is not beat to hell? It could even be a Squier, except they offer that finish on the Mustang, not the Jaguar.

I dunno, I'm not really a tort fan, but I like the brown tort it has on now. The orange one is cool, but not for that finish. Maybe if it was white. Sean Lennon's is too red for that guitar.

Mint would be cool I guess, maybe cream even better.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

I think the new guard looks great...

Matching headstock and I'd have a plain guard. Otherwise, a more flamboyant guard suits it well.

Thanks! I think it will look more normal once I get strings on. Guitars tend to look strange to me without strings. :)

Red tort just doesn't look right with fiesta .. The brownish tort on HMB's ( is that it ? ) just looks classy .

I was trying for something more unique then what most people do. I like the normal look also, but when Mark was asking me what I wanted him to come up with, it seemed like a good chance to do some thing new and different. I can get standard tort all day long from many places. Getting the sun faded look seemed like it would be cool on a Fiesta since it already has kind of a washed out red look to it.

I guess in the end I am happy with it, so that works out.

By the way, the pic you linked is the one I sent Mark to explain the color I was hoping for. It probably is faded CAR, but it has the tomatoe soup look of Fiesta Red to me. :)

I like how the guard makes the body look more tangeriney. The tort you had on made it look a lot darker.

That is something cool about Fiesta. It looks different in different lighting. Sometime it almost looks pink or salmon. :)

I agree, it's all part of the fun.
