Fender Mustang Floor
Have anyone else tryed this multi-effect pedal? What do you think about it?
It's probably just the amps without a speaker, like a Sansamp sort of vibe but with all the voices/effects of a modeling amp.

Let me tell you firsthand - It's NOT the same as the amps. The amps are great, because they specifically match the speakers to the tonal diversity of the Mustang system. The mustang floor doesn't so unless you spend hours tweaking it it just sounds dull and lifeless. I used a mustang IV as a live amp for over a year. Later I bought a Mustang floor for my new rig, and returned it the next day. It sucks bad.

To be frank my accordion is getting sweeter every day too... it's all about how open you are to any given piece of gear.
Interesting, drew. I don't have experience with the floorboard, but some of the smaller Stang amps... I wouldn't say they matched the speaker to every sound, as a lot of models sound better when you use larger/closed-back external speaker enclosures (such as the Marshall ones). I always think the blackface settings sound good on the Mustang and XD amps though, I could also get a much more believable Twin sound out of my Marshall 4x12 with the VCXD due to the added low-end response. The tweed setting always sounded best through the amp's speaker though (which I later upgraded to a Weber alnico and it got even better).
What kind of amp were you running the Mustang floor through?

I sure hope they get Strat and Tele amps and effects processors soon, to fuck with the rest of the guitar players who are not looking for Mustangs on dealers' sites.
I just realized this doesn't make sense/has huge gaps reasoning-wise. Too late now.drew199321 wrote:Let me tell you firsthand - It's NOT the same as the amps.
