going to be picking one of these up next month, however I haven't tried the 3/4 scale neck. now anybody that's tried these, did it play nice? was it comfortable? sound nice? or should I shell out the extra cash for a 1449 or a 1457 with the full scale neck and extra pickup?
only videos I could see of those things dudes were either playing slide or their tones sucked, which I think was either bad eq or shit camera mic. have played danelectros and the full scale kinds of silvertone and like lipstick pickups. but I'm kinda torn between the 3/4 scale and the full scale.

I played one once and some of the frets buzzed. A fret level could have helped a little, although I think the neck was too bowed, which poses a problem on those as the truss rods are not adjustable.

given the choice i'd have had a double pickup model, pretty much the reason i sold it was because (apart from needing the money to fund another purchase) it didn't have a bridge pickup. the short scale length was never an issue for me.
i found a brief video of me playing it unplugged.

really wish i still had this, they're pretty uncommon in this country and mine was in great condition. IDIOT
