dear Thomann..
Apparently Thomann has really gone the extra mile with their Harley Benton- line.
Behold:
Baritone. 203 €.
Twin P90. 193 €.
Also with hambakersch.
Ric- copies galore (also with 12 strings)
And especially for me,
Also someone re-issued the Vox teardrop and Phantom.
Can I save any money this summer? Probably not.

Wild spirit of the Eagle, Black hawk, bird of prey design
What's up with the switches on those Hi-Flyers? Looks like they bought pre-cut 2" wires by mistake, or little Billy's football landed on the CNC input console again.

Only £156. Very tempting..Viljami wrote:And especially for me,
30.5" scale. Also comes in white. If it came in black there'd be one heading my way already.
Shabba.

I wonder if these coming from the same factory Eastwoods come from, or just an attempt to replicate the same kind of success with the HB line... nice to see a more honest price on stuff like that in any case.

Ooh, these are nice. Probably the same factory as Eastwood, to be honest. Eastwoods themselves have occasionally been rebranded Hutchins/Alden guitars with an extra £250 or so slapped on for extra profitz.
Just posted this in the amp thread, thought it was pertinent here too: http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_vt_30_tw.htm
Basically an all valve Classic 30 copy for just under £300, kitted out with a Celestion V30 as standard. Which is amazing.
Some stuff sticks around, other stuff seems a bit more limited edition. They chuck something out, sell it off, bring out something new. But the price on this stuff is so damn low, and the reviews all seem to be pretty good.

That sounds like a deal. But what's about quality of their amps. Used Classic 30 from the US shipped would be 1.5 - 2 times more expensive, but I guess it can outlive its owner and can be inherited as a heirloom.ekwatts wrote: Just posted this in the amp thread, thought it was pertinent here too: http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_vt_30_tw.htm

I'd like to see a shot of the guts. Valve amps tend to be pretty serviceable; as long as there's no crippling production/design error and it sounds good, I can't really see any reason the quality wouldn't be as good as the Classic. At that price, who really gives a shit? And it comes in red.sunshiner wrote:Here is a review of this amp
