NGD x2 short scales

Post by meltedbuzzbox »

Hello all,

Just got myself an AVRI so I thought I would share

Its a 62 in IBM. I am really liking it at the moment. I might change the pups though...
They are still surprisingly bright and jangly, I think the 1k pots are helping it out. Awesome neck on it.

I also bought this 2 or 3 weeks ago

MIJ Shoreline gold

Currently missing its staytrem bridge as that is in the AVRI at the moment

Interesting colors on both. I've never seen the gold before, much less with a matching headstock. Amazing find!

Yeah, those 1k pots will make most any pups sound bright in my experience.

These are both beautiful guitars. The gold is super cool especially, I love matching headstocks

I passed up a lovely gold one in a local crack generator, they wanted £400 for it. Should've bought it, but I wasn't feeling the Liberace vibe at the time. I've since developed a hankering for a gold guitar. Something that looks like an African dictator's machine gun.

What's the story on the humbucker pickups on the IBM Jag? Looks great BTW.

I really like the black to be honest.

Usually I would agree though

Thanks sir.

The previous owner made the mod. They are Gibson burst buckers I think or some sort of 490 variant.
The work pretty well. Great with OD/Dist.
I might revert it back to singles but I have a few jags with singles so I am less inclined at the moment

Ah, so you bought that Jag, a lovely guitar - it went for very sensible money IIRC.

I have an IBM jag as well! Mines a 66 body/73 neck that I'm building up at the moment.

Possibly, I got it from a guy in the US from a forum that shall not be mentioned. Was that what you meant?

Yes, it kept on getting reduced, and was at a very tempting price by the end.

I really think the 'buckers suit it, looks wise

I would rather let the collective populace of Scotland stab me with rusty spoons than put a tort guard on my guitar

Liked it since I seen Adrian Utley play the above guitar... The guitar looked like he made it sound.
