The cheap little 10" frontman combos have the most muff like distortion of any combo I've used.

I remember back when I used to play guitar in my schools chapal band the amp they provided was a little Frontman and I used it to play Christian rock in a half outdoor undercroft.
Volume was maxed every Friday morning and the fuzzy distortion combined with the reverb of the huge, concrete under croft was, looking back on it now, great stoner rock tone.

Every week I used to rock up early and say, 'Hey, how about we mic the amp this week?'
Then I got yelled at.
