Some of the Squier Teles I think play better than the Fenders. The only issue is inconsistency. The Squier I had played awesome but had crooked screws and the bridge was slightly off but despite that it played wonderfully. The Squier Cabronitas I've tried played great. If you played it and it is great snatch it. The Fidelitrons actually sound pretty good. Obviously it's no TV Jones but they still sound great. The Bigsby B50 plays just like a US made. Great go to guitars.
Seems like a decent enough deal
I have one of the standard Cabronitas, it's a fantastic guitar but they can be a little inconsistent on finish and setup... I see quite a few working in a guitar shop.
Things to look out for.
- Pen inked around areas like the pickup holes
- Sloppy unfinished neck pockets
- Neck / Bridge alignment off
- Slightly sharp frets- very occasionally.
Most of the time they're good but you may see one of the above unless you get lucky.
Otherwise, its a great platform to build upon, especially at that price. I think the only thing I find substandard is the nut material, which I've yet to change. However I did change the saddles to the non-spikey type, and got one of those cool tele jack sockets.

BTW: I also find the Fideli'tron nicer for me than the TV Jones, we have an American version in stock too and I've compared like for like.

Right, so didn't get time to go yesterday. My mates going to stick it in the back till Wednesday, so gives me a chance to try and get to try it out. I've been googling reviews and they look positive. YouTube demos sound great too. Only gripe some people seem to have is the bridge, which could be switch out with a staytrem.
