Been playing the new Novaks in the Stang. What a world of difference. Had to use Strat covers but it works.

curious why you have to run strat covers instead of robroe's, i would think they would just fit right over them.

The guitar came with a Hotrail and lil 59 so I had no covers. No one had Mustang ones so I had to improvise. I'll eventually switch them out but for now want to enjoy the new Novaks.
Btw the Duncans are for sale...

Today, Hofner Verythin through a Fredric Klon, Belcat Tremolo, Mooer Ana Echo & the trusty Akai Headrush into Le Champ. Has made for a fun morning.

Swapped a few things around, playing the rocket tone again, trying to find uses for a strat middle pickup (this is my only "strat" guitar)
Although later today it will be this again, gf's car is in the shop which means I have to give her a ride to the farm so she can visit her horse...

Great, though the pickups aren't exactly balanced, the neck is a bit louder. That said, still sounds great, I'm building another guitar with the same combo.

And I'm guessing from the pole pieces that's a hot/overwound Tele pup?

The hottest I could get from gfs, strangely the set squire used on the tele with that combo balanced well. Were I to do it again, I would talk to someone like novak and get a balanced set. Still, minor complaint, it's still an awesome combo
