20 fret 24" neck? My guess is it would make a better conversion neck than a Jagmaster neck.
I'm thinking if you throw one on a regular strat/tele it would pretty much intonate itsself. 8)

God, why is that bass so ugly? Looks like an ugly knockoff. Just everything about it is terrible. 18 frets? So you can't even play a D on the high string, which means you can't even play "She's Lost Control" on it. It also means that the neck will be incompatible with any existing 30" scale neck (Jaguar SS, Bronco, Musicmaster, Mustang). The pickguard looks ugly and the lack of the chrome plate is awful, too. Looks like a $100 bass, will sell for $400. Anyone who buys that instead of one of the many well thought out lovely short scale options for cheaper (Jaguar SS, Squier Mustang, Bronco), I really feel for.

The Strat looks shrunk, too. Which is fine, but it makes the body look comical. The Fender Japan Smart Size had the right idea. Those guitars were tiny but at least the proportions looked legit. This is stupid.

I hope so too but I think it's doubtful. The bodies, including the location of the bridge, look completely different than their full-size counterparts. I bet they'll be marketed as upscale student models by guitar shops. "Well if you want the nicest guitar you can buy for your kid that doesn't cost a fortune, have a look at this..."
