As a 90s teen, I had heard of MSP before... However, I don't know their stuff at all.

I listened to You Love Us and Motorcycle Emptiness this evening... Both quite enjoyable!

Looks like the VM 72 Thinline Tele will hit the States any day now. Musicians Friend has an ETA of 9/5 but they're known to push back dates for weeks:

Shit. $300

Between that and the 60's CV Strat in Burgundy Mist, I'm tempted to spend money. Not good.

MF shows the Sherwood Green CV Strat with an ETA of 9/5:

CV 50s Strat

Same for the Burgundy Mist 60s:

CV 60s

Is there a huge difference sonically between the two? The only Strat I've ever used was a Bullet so I don't know the difference between Alnico Vs vs. the 3.

I think maple neck strats can sound brighter but a lot of maple neck strats back in the day also had ash bodies if they were sunburst...

The neck didn't feel as nice as the Fender.

Are you comparing the Squier to the Mexican Fender (9.5" radius neck) or the American one (7.25")?

I thought all current USA Strats were 9.5" apart from the specific vintage reissue jobs, same as the Mexican Strats.
