I'm thinking mint or red tort (casey prestwood/christmas color style). I think white would look too boring on this guitar. Mint would look sexy, and red pearl looks great on casey's stang, but I don't know how it would look on this bronco.

I liked the old squier strats that had that color combo.. but I don't really like that idea on this bronco as much.

It looks a bit more blue in the pics... but it is more on the aqua side of green. It looks awesome! I can't wait to see how it turns out on the body!

On another note, my apartment smells like spray paint cause I'm using my ex-roommate's closet to paint in. It's a nice day outside today though so I might take it outside to paint when I go to lay the first primer coat down.

update: The primer/sealer phase is complete... I'm about to go put the first coat of primer on.

edit: forgot to post the pic:

Doesn't look like much of a difference from yesterday's pic, but in person it looks much better!

Update: This is the second (ish) coat of white primer. I tried to do the first coat outside so I could breathe better, but it was too windy (fucking greenville!), and I wound up getting a few tiny runs so I stopped with only a very light coat on there, and let it dry so I could sand the runs out, and then put this coat on there. Most of the grey is covered up now. I'm pretty happy with the way this project is going so far, I haven't encountered too many problems so far, and those that I have encountered haven't been too much trouble to deal with. Plus this stuff dries pretty fast so it can be sanded and moved along to the next process fairly quickly!

Yea I've gotten a lot doone today dude. I'm almost done with the primer. I need another can since I fucked up on the first coat, I ran out of primer, and there's still a few spots that need some more. Tomorrow afternoon I'm hoping that my girlfriend will have a few chores or errands to do so that I can stay here and start on the color coat. I think I'm done working on it for tonight, I gotta go to the girlfriend's place for dinner, and then I might be going out tonight, not sure yet. Here's a pic of the current state:

oh, and Icey, I think I'm going to try to fit the Fender Hot noiseless pickup in there. If it's too deep then I may have to look for a single coil sized humbucker. I loved the way that the lil screamin demon that cowbell had in his mustang sounded... I might try to find one of those.

I can see the grain dissapearing in spots. I wont be able to concentrate in my constitutional law class now. I'll just be thinking of how to speed up the drying process so I can get ahead
