These are inexpensive, hopefully the quality is good.

Wow, that's comparatively cheap! I got $81.45 for the shipping after putting it in the basket and going to checkout and there is no other shipping option. Although there was an extra insurance option for $2.10.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Well, it wouldn't hurt going in.

Brian, any chance you could rename the thread "new guitar bodies from GFS"? This cryptic stuff is a bit Facebook.

Yeah I have a maple capped neck from somewhere and it feels fine but just damages my self esteem when I look down at it.

Are their bodies exact copies of strats and Teles?
I know their offsets are far from it.

I think Rox is talking about the Xaviere line of offsets and not separate "replacement style" bodies.

From the words on the GFS page: "Each piece is cut using stainless steel jigs made to the exact specs of vintage guitars. Each piece is routed and sanded by HAND, the recreate the real feel and look of the very best vintage guitars. "

So they don't (and never did) sell offset bodies or even claim their offsets were accurate repros.

I'd dearly like to get my hands on one of these new Strat or Tele bodies. Was always put-off by the Paulownia wood stuff.

They sold them as the Xavieres. But for the price many bought them and modded them to their specs. 200$? You couldn't buy an unfinished from most places for that . Many bought the Telemaster copies when they came out and modded them nicely. The only thing with them was the shape was off to the Fenders . Slightly smaller, thinner and the angle was a cunt hair off ( prolly to avoid copyright infringement I guess) .
Even if these are of cheap wood like paulownia , basswood , empress, koto, etc they're certainly worth it. Great cheap project stuff here.
