Original Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz review/demo

Post by Freethenoise »

I managed to get my shifty little mits on this little sparkly box thing. It's pretty beat up but it works perfectly.

It hangs out on my pedal board for my band as my broken, crazy sounding fuzz for octave stuff.

The gain control sets the level of the boost, the volume doesn't do anything in that mode.
The EQ controls still work though, which is useful.

I'm gonna go sit in a corner and writhe in shame.

I love the Hyper Fuzz, I have 2 - it's great for making controlled nasty noises.

Nice, this is one of my favorite Boss dirt/fuzz boxes, alongside the HM-2.

I've always wanted a HM-2. I should pick one up and do a blind shootout between it and my $2300 Fender Machete. See how many people say the pedal sounds better than the amp...

I have this pedal, but have not stretched it's legs properly yet. I bought it on holiday in Tenerife, which is a fucking weird place to buy a pedal.

Yours doesn't shoot lightning bolts like the one in Scott Pilgrim...? It might be defective.

Somewhat unrelated, but what are you using for the drumbeats in the intro to the video? Is that something put in after-the-fact in DAW, or is that a pedal running into the amp? I'm looking for a drum beat pedal thing so my band can jam while our drummer is under house arrest.

The drums are loops added in the DAW during the recording process.
