Gretsch Pure Nickel Strings 10 sets/$14.95

Let FMIC and ol' Chet help save you some money, until Sept. 29.

For us over here who have to pay $8.50 for a single set of anything, this can't be missed. Just called up my pop to order a half dozen, since Mucus-Friend refuses to ship Gretsch anything to Korea. Pure nickel strings maybe too dark sounding for some folks, but if you do the math on this one it's still 50% cheaper than the Dadadadario super bulk packs.

Yeah, pretty messed up, not especially cool with that policy. The 10s also sold out right away, so I ended up just scoring a few sets of 11s.

Still, how often can you find a sets that include an extra wound G at that price? The Jazzmaster and G6122-1962 are going to go all thumpy and '60s for the next few years, if they in fact are a similar set to the Fender Pure Nickel (albeit slightly different gauge), which has recently come close to replacing DRs as Moollon's "out the door" gauge for guitars built this year.

Gone gone gone~
