Angus,
I don't have any way to weigh the guitar, but I'd say it's between 10-11lbs, my body's a little bigger than the default model and the pickups are heavier too. Heavier than most guitars around these parts I guess but if you can hang with a les paul, nothing intimidating.
All EGCs now have a standard radius of 12", unless you specify otherwise. Kevin can work up whatever you want. Pretty big stainless steel frets. My neck was to buzzo specs, which other than the scale I'm pretty sure matches the standard neck dimensions.
If you dig into the order form on their website the measurements pop up, they were listed on their old one:
http://web.archive.org/web/201212302023 ... d7eb47.htm
width at nut - 1.64 inches
width at body - 2.125 inches
thickness at nut - .6 inches
thickness at body -| .66 inches
neck radius - 12 degree
I compared those to my other guitars and found that they really fit what I like. I couldn't have specced it up better myself. The nut width of my Yamaha, slim and fast like my SG, and the fretboard width and radius is the same as my Gibson.
There is a fatter neck profile you can choose, which I think is based off an old les paul custom of Kevin's? Don't quote me on that. And the chessie neck is a little different and thicker too.
You could specify exact measurements, but that would incur costs I'm sure.
I'm very happy with it, I thought about what I wanted for a long time before ordering. I did have a more expensive idea for a similar guitar that was more like a TB Artist, and I asked Kevin about doing the full carve out of aluminium (as opposed to the german carve he's done before) He was keen but the cost seemed huge for something pretty aesthetic. So I decided for a stripped down TB standard inspired thing. I always loved those earlier flat black and polished aluminium EGCs like the ones he made for ISIS.
I probably should have gone for it, as with the price increase what he quoted me back then was a bargain. Now it would no doubt be getting into the travis bean reissue territory. Plus over the wait I would never have missed that money, aha.
Although I have no doubt that I would still be waiting.
Skullservant over on ILF has a EGC with a raw aluminium neck. That's maybe the only thing I'd change about the guitar. Just because I didn't know that could be an option, and the combination of a dull raw neck and a flat or anodized body would look nice and utilitarian. and, no finger marks....
