Ibanez RG w/ Kaosspad 2

Post by timhulio »

Nice to see a mainstream manufacturer doing something this different. I've no idea if people still listen to Muse and wonder if this hasn't missed the boat, but it looks like it'd be fun to mess around on.

Manson's UK was making these for a while using Squiers . They were actually pretty cheap at $400GBP considering you were getting a Kaoss pad included .

This is pretty frickin cool though . I wonder if the US will get these too .

It's not that Ibanez never wins roulette, it's that they always find themselves several million dollars up only to bet it all on eleventysix red.

I think it's a cool idea but I don't know why you would put in such a limited guitar. Before I want options to do synth stuff I'd want options to switch pickups.

SAME, I don't know how a kaosspad works, but I can see ambient guitar swells and mellow postrock with this.

Edit: oh wait, this is for MUSE fans. Nope, not for me.

I'd much rather a Kramer sustainer than this, which is basically an ebow in the neck pickup position

It seems the mini kaoss pads are £50 on ebay, throw one at a random shit guitar and you're in buiseness.

Not really my thing though, I don't even use the volume or tone controls on my 1 pickup guitar...

You mean Fernandes.

That's how Matt Bellendy does it, he has a sustainer pickup on the guitar with the koass pad. I would love the sustainer but it's actually quite expensive compared to an Ebow.

i mean kramer, which were the original guitars to come with them, and i've wanted one for ages. LEARN280sSHREDGUITAR JEEZZZZ

the practical uses of a sustainer pickup make it way better than an ebow anyway. least not because you have a picking hand free.

I've seen Fernandes Sustainer system-equipped pointy guitars go for as little as $70 over here, and have kicked myself more than once for not jumping on one to have in the quiver for a rainy day. They look like so much fun.

But more than infinite sustain/shreddy bit they can do on single note, I really like the idea of using it with open chords, which you could play once and then drag about on the fretboard to the next. You can kinda hear the effect with the flanged chords parts on the refrain of this poppy James Iha tune, which he once said was done on a Fernandes w/sustainer.

Hehe will do, but ME first! :D $200 is as low as they usually go, popping up once or twice a year.

...But this one was $65, dude was desperate and it sold fast. LOL@ factory sticker, lest we all forget how it works.
