Naw, it's mojo. Tone is in the fingers. Lose your reverb handle and you will lose all your mojo, loose your fingers and you will lose all the tone. But an tone makes no sense without an mojo and vice versa. So keep dam both.
WRONG. TONE & BL00z FLOW FROM THE BUDD-UH.
HUH, REALLY? THEN WHERE IS THE BUDD-UH FLOWING FROM? I TELL YA - FROM DA HANDLE HOLE

benecol wrote:Aye, my secret weapon those springs - I love them. They sit under the reverb handle, so you can tension it how you like it, and find the handle where you leave it (unless you like it floppy). If you're not using it, bag it up (and shame on you for missing half the fun of the strat). If you are using it, dip it in vaseline before dropping it back in - stops it seizing in the threads, and also tacks it in so it doesn't fall out.
Yeah, its always important to lube up before reverbing.

Be careful where you set that down, it is dangerous.

Awesome. Knew about the spring trick but had no idea Fender do it as standard and totally never made the connection with the sticker dots on brand new Strat trems before.

I've only ever used the pencil eraser trick to unsatisfactory ends unfortunately.

Remember when it happened to me, it was horrific seeing it, like some kind of prolapsed oriface
