Love gold guards mostly, especially on black, but not sure about that combo.

anodized is always a yes.
but I think a black anodized would be cooler if you can get one.

Bloody hell Paul, you wanna get them specs checked out mate, this is classy looking...

Srsly though, the contrast with the chrome is putting me off, not the colour of the body.

black is generally the best body colour to tie it all together.

i like it though, it's different. every 10 bob cunt has a blonde/white or blonde/black tele

Haha. Found a few more on google images, one was from TDPRI, the thread over there got a mixed response.
It does look a bit better on the Telebastard as that has a Classic Vibe White body. The Tele is maybe too off white for it.

Not really working for me tbh Fran. But bear in mind that:

a) I'm not really into gold anodized guards (I know, sacrilege and all that); and
b) Mrs BB constantly says I have absolutely no colour matching ability whatsoever.

Oh, and

c) It's your guitar so DO WHAT YOU DO WANT /robroe

Both my JM66 and ST68-TX have aftermarket CIJ anodized guards, yet I'm going to agree with Paul and Nick on this one: No alibi.

Honey blond on ash (or boring-grain alder, if you must) + anodized guard is just fine, but two colors of metal hardware fighting for guitar body real estate and attention on Telecasters has always looked silly to my eyes.

On the other hand. this is exactly why 1950's Strats and Precision Basses (even with full pickup cover garb) work in that color combination, and as a result don't cause kittens to die. See also: MAPPEL NEKZ

I feel like I should like it but I don't. It might be the chrome.
