Got this in trade from PumpkinPieces. Pretty fun guitar. It needs some TLC so I have been working on it most of the evening. Here is it when it arrived.

First thing I wanted to fix was this extra hole where the strap button goes. Cut a dowel and glued it in. Once the glue is dry, I will dab some black paint and it will be much less noticeable.

Next I wanted to work on the bridge volume and tone pot. It kept shorting out. I found out that there was a wire that was hitting the ground and fixed it. While I had it off, I also used contact cleaner on the pots.

The guard is missing the white on the middle portion, so I decided to paint it white.

The neck and bridge pickup had a large random screw in the pickup ring so I used a toothpick and wood glue to put in one that is more of the correct size.

Cleaned up the freatboard and the nut came off. I will glue it back in place when I put new strings on to make sure it lines up right.

Took the bridge and stop tail off to clean.

First coat of white paint on the underside of the pickguard.

Kind of the last things left to do is put new pickguard screws in (each one on the guitar was a different color, type, and size), dab some black paint before I put new strap buttons on, and put it all back together. Should be done tomorrow with the work.

Oh and I did test it before I took it apart. Pickups are awesome! Very nice. Neck is just like my Japanese Univox Les Paul guitar. Pickups sound very similar as well.

When did they make these? Is it all original? Nice score.

It is a 75 I think. It is all original aside from some of the screws.

Some black paint helped that lower strap button hole look a lot better.

Dang handsome vintage piece!

And that headstock almost looks like a Country Club, really classy thing going on. Looking forward to seeing everything when wrapped up

I am as well.

Hoping to have it pretty much finished tomorrow. New humbucking ring screws won't come in until early next week, but that is a minor thing I can do with it all together.

I love Crestwoods, Wilshires and Coronets. Olympics also. Beautiful guitar.

Thanks! It is getting back in shape. Consistent pickguard screws that all match are in. It will get the new (matching) strap buttons (Dunlop dual design strap locks) after work and a fresh set of strings.
