'Road Worn' And now non-road worn 60's Jaguar MIM
Anyone play one of these yet?

I can get my hands on a brand new one + hard case for a shade under $800 - but I haven't been able to play one in person yet.
I know it won't be 'twice' as good as the Squier VM Jag.
Thoughts?

I beg to differ.The rosewood fingerboard features 22 vintage-style frets and a 7.25" radius.

This is what attracted me to it.Nick wrote:crumpler wrote: I know it won't be 'twice' as good as the Squier VM Jag.I beg to differ. The rosewood fingerboard features 22 vintage-style frets and a 7.25" radius.
More of a 'poor man's AVRI instead of a rich fucker's squier VM...
Except they're price only a tad less than what a AVRI used to go for...
interesting.. im sure these will fetch like 650/750 used within the next year or two, in which case i'd bite. 1000 dollars for a "relic'd aka fucked up" guitar doesn't really sit too well with me.
nitro, vintage correct neck/trem placement kinda makes it worth it though, only bummer is for another thousand or two can get you a vintage jaguar.

here's the non-road-worn versionJosh wrote:interesting.. im sure these will fetch like 650/750 used within the next year or two, in which case i'd bite. 1000 dollars for a "relic'd aka fucked up" guitar doesn't really sit too well with me.

Huh. If they are nitro, and you like 7.25", sounds worth it to me. AV Jaguars have gotten stupid expensive and I don't see any difference except maybe the electronics and lack of bridge mute. (Edit: Says it has AV pickups And the knobs are screw-on, meaning it's probably the same as AV. I bet the neck is closer to CIJ though.)

Oh , it's worth it. Nitro, 65 av pickups and with a case that prolly has all the candy.
And Fiesta Red? All she needs is tort and it's pretty much perfect.

well hot damn!Nick wrote:According to the specs on that site they are actually.
I was looking at it on my phone earlier so I must have missed that.
Just did an ebay search, and they are going for $999.99 USD + shipping
none of my local shops have them listed online yet.. but I may have to give them a call early next week, esp as my line of credit is now paid down, and I suddenly have a bunch of guitar credit money available.. (not sure what I would do with that extra cash in my bank every two weeks... buy crappy beer?)

haven't used it yet, as both my jags are setup with WRHB in the bridge.. and didn't want to cut up a perfectly good "roseland" guard.
There's no lock on the Trem either. Not too difficult a swap if you want the lock though.Dillon wrote:Huh. If they are nitro, and you like 7.25", sounds worth it to me.
