My new DIY pedalboard (icybomb)

Post by damienblair17 »

Thought I'd share my new pedal board set up (and my new pedal board).

I used to have this set up:

Four main pedals (well, three not counting the tuner) and some other stuff off to the side. I thought I could do better.

So I did:

Put this together with some scrap wood from the hardware store where I work (not home depot anymore. Never again).
This is after I've painted it but I think before I sprayed a light clear over it.

Next to the Pedaltrain Nano for size:

My original plan was to just put my five or so most used pedals on the board, but after my BOSS adapter made it clear
it didn't like powering more than a couple pedals and after getting some weird modulation when my fuzz was on, I decided
on a new power supply. This made it possible to squeeze a whole bunch of shit on the board.

voila:

The upper pedals might be hard to hit accurately, but I don't use 'em that often. This setup could not have been achieved without
my new micro tuner (I got it for around $25 from Amazon) and these super slim Hosa patch cables:

Now everything is powered by a T-Rex Fuel Tank Jr.

I put in the fuel tank this evening. So far I like it! I haven't been able to put the board through its paces yet but I'm sure that will
happen soon. I was hoping to win the recent MBM auction for a Dream Box but lost (Hopefully be able to commission one soon)
so for now the fake RAT (in vintage mode) going into the bass big muff will have to suffice if I want to massacre SP songs.

Nice work. I must make a board for my keyboard effects.

Nice economic use of the space there :)
