I'm told the circuit is practically the same as an MXR Dist +. I had an MXR reissue a couple years ago & never got on with it but this pedal is great.
It responds well to the guitar volume knob in the same way a fuzz face does, also makes a decent clean boost. The overdrive gets a bit fuzzy past 3 o'clock & is nice and tight & decays quite quickly, which i really like for rhythm.
