I have 3 flangers to choose. All those flangers are within my budget.

I have a GLX FL100... Gets all the Cure, Manics, and Suede tonez... But from the choices you gave I like the EHX.

I'm personally considering the Vortex. I've been pleased with TC's effects, and it's pretty flexible.

I love EHX pedals, but I never owned one of their flangers. I actually like Boss Flangers (believe it or not).

I believe it as it's also my favorite, that's what the GLX is a copy of.

Yeah, EHX is a good contender here too.
I have some intent to build an all TC&EHX board over time.

I also like the HF-2. Had two of them... One stolen and one sold to timhulio (somewhat regretfully).
Yeah, I'm with dez. Boss/GLX for the win in the flange dept.

There seems to be a bit of an anti boss thing going on over the last few years, I admit they haven't released a good new pedal in many years but some of the older ones are brilliant, my all time favourite pedal is by boss... The mighty HM-2

I have the XO Mistress with the chorus built in and it RULES. It really tames the stupider Korn-esque flanger tones

The Boss BF2 sounds great with clean sounds, but I found that it didn't sound very good with distortion.

I got a MIJ unit for $50, which is the most I was willing to spend, so I got lucky, I guess. I've never really used mine with dirt, either, just clean and mostly in a chorus-y setting.
