Think of getting a volume pedal, but not sure what to get. Was thinking of one of those dunlop ones (dv-1p?) but just seen this http://www.bossus.com/products/fv-30h_3 ... fications/
All I'm bothered about is if it will mess with base/unaffected sound (fuck, I'm one step away from being a cork sniffer)

Have a look at the Artec VPL-1. Cheap and has a max/min volume level, which actually goes over your basic level so you can actually use it as a boost, too.
I don't think it's true bypass, but who cares about that shit nowadays? What do you think it is, 2009?

I can't find that pedal that was just a piece of vintage cloth-covered wire between input and output, and promised to improve your t0ne. I'm sure Mike remembers it.
Hahaha knew I'd get a ribbing for this lol
To be fair, I have a fredric effects buffer in my chain so doesn't matter too much. I just after suggestions for a volume pedal better than a binatone volume-disappointment lol

I'm not ribbing, just reminiscing. Anyway; putting a pot across the output of your guitar may affect your tone, in the same way that reducing the value of the pot in your guitar may.
If you're not going to be using a reversed original-circuit CryBaby wah to get your Pink Floyd Echoes seagulls sounds, a buffer pedal is (IMHO) a good idea and one reason why I used to put the TU2 first when using the Fuzz Face clone
I've one of the larger Boss ones. Built like a tank (you could easily kill someone irritating with it). I've never noticed any tone suck but I've never done a detailed comparison and am not very tbh.
