NGD... sorta.

Post by luciguci »

my friend let me borrow his squier affinity telecaster to clean and restring it and oh my fuck, its a good guitar. i dig it a lot, even the ceramic pickups, the bridge is shockingly bright and the neck is nice and warm. the only thing i dont like is the slab body, the edges kinda dig in and get annoying. immediately afterwards i played my strat to compare how it felt and the curves of the body were so nice, i barely felt like i was holding onto it. basically fuck slab bodies

apparently it's part of the experience though and you're a weak nerd if you dont like it

Not to perpetuate the weak nerd out look... But I like the slab body of the telecaster, might have something to do with learning to play on my epiphone Riviera as it has quite a bulky body. I imagine if you're coming at it from the ergonomics of the Strat it would seem a bit of a step backwards.

I don't mind the slab body, tho the flat front/belly cut combo on the Squier Throman Tele is a great combo.
