Trying to wire up a Telecaster for my Cousin.
It's a 2 P-Rails, 2 push-pull and blade style 3-way setup.
What I need to do is follow this:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... 1v_1t_tspp
But with a blade style 3-way instead of the Gibson style they have shown.
I tried to figure it out on my own but now both pickups are on regardless of how it's set and there is a monumental grounding issue, buzzes like an alarm clock.
Please please please help me!
Also if it would be easier, we're really not all that interested in the series/parallel settings. IF there is an easier way to wire this so we can just split the hum buckers into their P-90 half (independently of each other) when using the push-pulls that would actually be preferred. But at a minimum I need to know how to adjust this wiring to accommodate the telecaster blade style 3-way.
Thanks!
Need pickup wiring help DESPERATELY!!!

My control plate isn't grounded, should I do that?Doog wrote:I think the control plate would provide that connection?mezzio13 wrote: I think this will do it. Not sure if there should be a ground from the switch body to the tone pot body, but most Teles don't have that any way
Also Mezz, sadly that is the scheme I went with when I tried to work it out on my own. I'm going to have to tear down and start over to troubleshoot if thats correct.
Also... ground the plate? yay or nay?

Is that ground from the push/pull poles to the tone pot a mistake? Usually when you tie green & white together for series, you wrap is so it doesn't ground out. I remember I had one loose in a cavity with no tape on it, and it made noise every time it touched. Try taking that leg off, especially since it's an easy piece to work.
