Is the former more sought for? Is the hardware and neck all identical? I am looking at couple of maroonburst musicmasters but there's only a $300 ish difference between the duo-sonics on the market. Need to make an informed choice before spending that kind of dough.
PS: what would be a good price for them at the moment?

Just remember that most of the maroonburst ones will be 22.5" scale not 24" (if you're unsure count the dots/frets in the photo). All the hardware, heels, tuners etc are the same on all the 24" scale necks.
The last Musicmaster neck I bought was early 70s and cost me $120. That was about 3-4 months ago I think.

Given similar condition and age, I'm pretty sure the 2-pickup Duo-Sonic will often sell for more than the 1-pup Musicmaster . The range for Musicmasters was $600 to $1,600 (up to $2,100 for the '56 to '64 Blond).
