My AVRI Tremolo arm is a bit floppy and it annoys the shit out of me.
Found this the other day whilst lurking on Offset:

Figured may be of some use here.

This would be a great innovation if it had come from anywhere other than OSG.

I understand the hate for Jagstang. Don't really understand the hate for Offset.

I don't really get that hate either. Decent enough bunch of people, and half the regular posters here post there as well.
Anyway, that fix has been around for years - I first came across it from Sonic Youth's guitar tech, although I can't remember where I read it.

Teflon tape is a wonderful alternative that doesn't cost as much as another guitar. Wrap the shaft and tip, rub it flush between your fingers, and carefully insert it back in.

Steady on. OSG aren't as down with that kind of thing.

Tape has worked for years for me. I don't see any need to change course.

Made one of these this afternoon. It's cool. I tried teflon tape years ago and it didn't work.
On this one and the CIJ one before, I taped the bit of the arm that pokes out of the collet. Kept it from falling out but still swung and rattled all over the place.
Fuck that.
