Orange AD-5

Got this today and it's pretty sweet. It's a 2008 one, has a Celestion speaker (Which I think is a good thing, yeah?).

I paid less than £200 for it. Sounds great with a Distortion + infront of it. Won't be until next Thursday I get to crank it tho :(

Nice score! I'm guessing the speaker is the same that was in the first-gen Blackstar HT5s, so yeah...it's a very nice-sounding 10" that works well with a 'British' voice amp. I suppose you could go for a G10 vintage to be more in keeping with the orange+V30 magnet combination, but I dunno whether it would approximate that sound or not. Probably not worth the hassle. If it sounds great as-is, then that's a result. :)

Interesting, I wasn't aware of these! Do you think it will keep up with a drummer?

Not sure. I suppose I could just mic it or run it through a cab.

Is this a UK made one or the newer MIC ones?
